The Mixed-Ages class is the essential Music Together® class, one that a child can attend from birth through kindergarten through all nine song collections. This class follows the recommendations of child development researchers—grouping children of a variety of mixed ages because this fosters natural, family-style learning. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, watching, or exploring musical instruments. Any caregivers—parents, grandparents, nanny—can bring the children. The whole family is welcome.
Babies love music, and Music Together makes it easy for them to embrace their inborn musicality. Families can choose one or all of the following class options to get started on a musical journey that will last a lifetime.
This 3-week Lullabies Interim Session has been designed specifically for expectant* and new parents and caregivers of children under 8 months. Music Together will introduce you to the many ways in which lullabies are so important for your child's development. You will learn new lullabies, revisit familiar ones, and leave with new ways to share these songs with your children and families. Sing, dance, laugh and play with your child, all in the company of other new parents and guided by an early childhood music specialist.
Class will meet for 75 minutes each week for a total of 3 weeks. In addition, your tuition includes:
The one-semester Music Together Babies Class was created especially for families with infants under 8 months old. That's right: it's never too early to start our music classes! Maybe you've noticed that your baby responds when you play a song in the car or sing to soothe him. Babies are naturally musical --- and you don't have to be a great singer or dancer yourself to nurture their love of music. In this music class for babies, your Music Together teacher will show you how you can support your baby's music development through simple and fun activities. You'll learn lots of musical ways to connect with your little one through music, and you'll bond with the other new parents in your class, too.
In addition to weekly clases, tuition includes:
"In our Babies class, I learned that it doesn't matter how musical you are - the most important thing is for your baby to see you making and appreciating music."
"The Music Together Babies class has brought our whole family closer and has helped us bond more."
"The Babies class helped me see that my baby picks up on beat, rhythm, and tone so much earlier than I ever thought possible."
Does your baby have an older sibling that needs music too? Check out our Mixed Ages class where babies thrive with other children ages birth through kindergarten.
